Chuck is ready for action once more, as Season 2 finally hits UK shores. It’s new and exclusive to Virgin1 and will be transmitted on Tuesdays from 9 June at 9.00pm. From creator and executive producer Josh Schwartz, the chase continues for Chuck (Zachary Levi), as the loveable geek reluctantly turned all-action spy, who is forced to confront assassins and international terrorists for the CIA. All this follows having an entire server of American government secrets accidentally imbedded into his brain.

With an array of special guest appearances from stars such as Nicole Richie (The Simple Life), Melinda Clarke (The O.C.), Chevy Chase (“National Lampoon’s Vacation”), multiple Emmy-Award winning actor John Larroquette (Boston Legal) and Scott Bakula (Enterprise, Quantum Leap) - this season is even more action-packed and hilarious than the last.  In a British first, Virgin1 will premiere a special 3D version episode, featuring guest star Dominic Monaghan (Lost) as a rock star.

Chuck Season 2

Chuck, one of Virgin1’s top rating dramas, follows Chuck Bartowski, a regular twenty-something whose life is thrown into disarray after his friend, a CIA agent, sends him an e-mail which results in the world's most secret information becoming embedded in his mind.

Chuck is just an ordinary guy who spends his days working at an electronics store with a band of nerdy cohorts and longs to find a woman who can appreciate him. He never asked to become the government's most powerful weapon, but suddenly the fate of the country lies in his unlikely hands. Agents Sarah Walker and John Casey are assigned to protect him.

Kicking off the next set of undercover action instalments is “Chuck Versus the First Date”, the season opener, where Chuck and Special Agent Sarah Walker (Yvonee Strahovski) finally go on their first date. The drama unfolds as Chuck discovers there is a chance he may eventually be free from his spy duties…

John Larroquette will feature as Roan Montgomery in the second episode, “Chuck Versus the Seduction” – he’s a seduction artist who is drafted in to teach Chuck how to win the affection of hot Russian Sacha Banacheck, played by Melinda Clark.

Nicole Richie will be playing Heather Chandler, who is Sarah Walker’s high-school nemesis, in the fourth episode, “Chuck Versus the Cougars”. The two come face to face as Sarah and Chuck attend her high school reunion for a mission, leading to the ultimate unforgettable showdown scene – a cat fight in the shower!

The ninth episode, “Chuck Versus the Sensei”, has one hell of a guest cast, with it featuring Morgan Fairchild as Dr Honey Woodcomb, Bruce Boxleitner as Dr Woody Woodcomb, and Carl Lumbly as Ty Bennett. The team is assigned to survey the Global Launch Agency, when intelligence suggests that someone might penetrate their security. During the surveillance an intruder gets into the lab – Casey (Adam Baldwin) knows him well – it’s his former sensei, Ty.  Meanwhile both the Woodcomb Doctors appear again in the season finale!

Gary Cole appears in episode 10 – “Chuck Versus the Delorean”.  He features as Jack Burton, in a tale where Sarah's father, a con artist, reveals that he conned a Saudi Arabian sheik out of nearly a million Dollars. The sheik turns out to be connected to terrorist funding.

Dominic Monaghan turns up in episode 12, “Chuck Versus the Third Dimension” as rock star Tyler Martin. Chuck has to protect Tyler, while Morgan Grimes (Joshua Gomez) wins two backstage passes to his concert, so he needs to decide who will become his "plus one".

Jenny McCarthy appears in episode 13, “Chuck Versus the Suburbs” as Sylvia in an episode which sees Chuck and Sarah go undercover as a married couple in the suburbs.

Robert Picardo guest stars as Dr Howard Busgang in the 16th episode, “Chuck Versus the Lethal Weapon”. When Cole Barker escapes FULCRUM with new information, Sarah and Casey go looking for a man that seems to be behind FULCRUM's plans to build its own Intersect.

Tricia Helfer plays Alexandra Forrest in “Chuck Versus the Broken Heart”, episode 18 of the second season. A female agent is sent to evaluate Sarah's performance as Chuck's handler, when Chuck's feelings for her become an issue to General Diane Beckman (Bonita Friedericy).

Scott Bakula stars as Stephen Bartowski, who turns up as Chuck’s long lost father in the 19th episode, “Chuck Versus the Dream Job”. Chevy Chase appears as technology genius and computer company owner Ted Roark - who is accused of stealing Stephen’s business ideas.   Both turn up again in episode 21, “Chuck Versus the Colonel”, and the season finale, episode 22 “Chuck Versus the Ring”.
