With main stage interviews, workshops, Fanstrand events, and screenings all running concurrently, a wide range of activities were scheduled non-stop, usually from noon Friday to noon Monday....

Over the course of the weekend the SPOTLIGHT STAGE plays host to the Opening Ceremony, guest interviews and charity auction, the Cult TV Awards and the Cabaret. This is in addition to the interviews and fun related to our trio of "Spotlight Series". The FESTIVAL STAGE brings you further interviews with programme-related talent, as well as our "Study Centre" which brings you the facta in extraordinary fiction". The WORKSHOP programme includes talks and demonstrations by people from both sides of the camera.

In addition the Weekender runs a choice of rare screenings throughout the day and night, discussion groups and nightly themed parties, quizzes and competitions, and traders selling TV-related merchandise.

FRIDAY

The Weekender kicks off at Noon with a "Meet and Greet" with the Celebrity Guests who have arrived, followed by an introductory video. As people get themselves settled in, the afternoon continues with the "Review of the TV Year Show" followed by the first guest interviews, workshops and the light-hearted "Ice Breaker" quizzes to help get everyone in the mood for the weekend.

The evening entertainment begins with an introductory session for first-time attendees to the Cineology Weekender, followed by the official "Welcome Ceremony" held in Soundstage. After that comes fun and games - last year it was Cult Trumps, TNG TOTE and Cult-Phrase, a trio of game shows that all involved audience participation.

As the Spotlight Stage festivities draw to a close, the entertainment continues with the first of the nightly themed parties. Later on "Handbags Before Dawn", the alternative nightly discussion group, will take place. A strictly adults-only affair contesting a variety of subjects, the verbal fisticuffs is for anyone who feels passionately about television. Topics for discussion will be finalised closer to the Weekender. Past subjects have included "TV Fans - We Don’t Do Ourselves Any Favours", "In Search of Quality Television", and "The Cult of the Moron".

SATURDAY

Saturday starts off with "Good Morning, Cineologists!" on the Festival Stage, before the first of the  interviews that carry on throughout the day on both the Spotlight Stage and the Festival Stage. At around 10.00am, the Workshop begisn. Running from between 60-90 minutes in length, these sessios give an insight into the television production process and related industries, many of the talks and demonstrations involve audience participation.

The Autograph Sessions begin mid-morning. With so many guests and so much on offer, "Club" members are called up to get autographs based on their badge number to avoid lengthy queues (so, book early to get a low number!). While autographing the Weekender brochure for free, and signing one of your own items for free, many of our talent will bring along their own photographs and related merchandise available for purchase that they will sign, some at an additional cost. "Classic" members can also buy these items and autographs.

The afternoon on the Festival Stage concludes with the first part of the Charity Auction. After an earlier viewing during the lunch break to show people what will be on offer, the Auction includes rare and highly prized memorabilia, with all proceeds going to our chosen charity.

Saturday evening is dominated by the 17th annual international Cult TV Awards ceremony. Both nominated and voted for by Weekender attendees, the ceremony announces the winners of the annual categories as well as the growing Hall of Fame and Hall of Shame inductees. The entertainment continues with the second themed party and "Handbags Before Dawn".

SUNDAY

Sunday continues with interviews, workshops and autograph sessions. The afternoon brings the second part of the Charity Auction. After the quiz finals, the Spotlight Stage is host to the Weekender’s Cabaret night. Cult Idol gives attendees a chance to show off their vocal skills and costume making, after that the stage is set for celebrity guests to do a turn with their comedy and variety acts, displaying talents not normally associated with their popular television personas. The evening programme finishes with the final themed party and "Handbags Before Dawn".

MONDAY

A cloakroom facility will once again be available from 9.00am so that you can check out of your room ready for the journey home. Before you leave, the Spotlight Stage entertainment continues with the final interviews with our stars, leading up to the presentation of the charity cheque. The Weekender concludes with the final thanks and a look forward to 2011.

A much more detailed schedule of events will be made available closer to the event.
