On The Buses Event

Sunday, 24 February 2008 21:43

Planning is well underway for an ON THE BUSES event in Elstree and Borehamwood on Saturday 28 June 2008.

Organised by the On The Buses Fan Club, a welcome ceremony will commence at 10.00am at the Innkeepers Lodge function room in Borehamwood, with events during the day including a Cinema Screening of “Holiday On The Buses” – see it in the form it was designed to be seen in at the Reel Cinema!

Guest stars from both sides of the camera will also be available for a series of interviews throughout the day. The event will also include a guided walk around various locations in the town to see what was filmed where in On The Buses. There will be plenty of time for photographs to be taken, and so forth, followed by a trip on a Double Decker Bus to the outlying film locations - ending up back at the Innkeepers Lodge at 5.00pm.

There will be a break from 5.00pm allowing those who have purchased a premier ticket some time to freshen up and prepare for the evening.

At 7.30pm there follows a trip to Elstree TV and Film Studio, for the launch event for a Festival that is celebrating 80 years of Elstree success. This section of the event will include a live band, film clips, buffet, special guests and pay bar.

Please note that, as with all events of this nature, the initial programme is subject to change.

Ticket price for the day event is £20.00 per adult £10.00 per child. Please note that due to the interest that has been shown, it is expected tickets will sell out fast, so book now to avoid disappointment.

Evening event details and prices are yet to be confirmed.

Accommodation for anyone wishing to stay at the Innkeepers Lodge Borehamwood is £55.00 per night per room, twin, double or family and includes breakfast. Please make your own bookings direct with them - remember to put ON THE BUSES in the first address line of the online booking form to secure this deal.

Anyone travelling a long distance wanting to stay both Friday 28th and Saturday 29th at the Innkeepers can get Sunday night free, but they need to book for the 3 nights on the booking form.
